Interactive Voice Response Systems

Nowadays technology is so advanced that people would like different devices to inter operate. One such usage is that of the computer and telephone. What happens here is the human being call to a number that connects to the computer on the other remote site. Now the computer will be loaded with the software that will make it to respond to certain defined set of voice or touch tones requests made by the person. This situation is called Interactive Voice Response System.

 

The computer upon receiving voice or touch-tone requests, it converts them into text. After that the response will be given in the form of voice. There will be interaction between the two until one party hangs. The advantage of this technology is that it eliminates human-to-human interaction when requesting service. Again since telephones are widely used, services will be easily available. This is another form of web, but in this case voice web.
